Pamela Hosein Chief Executive Officer

Pamela Hosein

Pamela Hosein is highly skilled and qualified in strategic management with over 30 years of experience in the private security industry. She has championed quality and safety initiatives throughout her working career as an accomplished leader in policy and strategy development with sound knowledge and extensive practice in corporate governance. <br><br> Pamela holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA); she is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP); a Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer and a Certified ISO Quality Lead Auditor.is.<br><br> She has actively participated in many groups that shape and influence the private security industry including The Forum For Enhancing The Regulation, Oversight And Governance Of The Private Security Industry In The Caribbean Region, Feb 2019; Consultation For The National Occupational Safety And Health Policy, April 2019; Parliament of T&T Joint Select Committee on Private Security Industry Bill, August 2019; UNLIREC Executive Seminar on Good Practices and International Standards in the Private Security Sector October 2019. Pamela currently serves as the Chairman of ASIS International, POS Chapter. She formerly served as a Director with the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Companies (ICoCA), Switzerland, 2015-2016, representing PSCs worldwide, with exception of US and UK; at ICoCA she extended her services to the Working Group on Policy Development. <br><br> She is associated with several volunteer community groups in Trinidad & Tobago and is founder of the Charity: "Kids in School Support (K.I.S.S.) Program". She has been recognized in 2018 by the International Organization for Top Professionals, IAOTP of New York, as the "Top Professional in the Private Security Industry" and was again honored by IAOTP as "Empowered Woman of the Year 2019" and was profiled in the ASIS International Security Magazine October 2019 Issue as a highly achieved security professional.<br><br> Pamela is the Chief Executive Officer of Amalgamated Security Services Limited - a full-service security provider offering guarding, secure transportation, investigations, monitoring and response, electronic security, and executive services, based in Trinidad and Tobago and operating in seven Caribbean Islands with more than 5000 employees.

Mr. Ewart DeNoon has held the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for the past 20 years. He was also appointed on the Board of Directors for the ASSL Group in 2020. Mr. DeNoon provides leadership for the continued development of an innovative, robust, and secure Information, Communication Technology (ICT) environment. <br><br> As CTO, he has direct oversight of ICT operations, systems delivery and integration in locations across the Caribbean and its subsidiaries. Mr. DeNoon has attained a track record of surpassing goals and expectations for quality, schedule and cost while implementing leading-edge ICT solutions. Throughout his career, he has been the recipient of numerous awards, honors and accolades. <br><br> Mr DeNoon graduated with honors with a double major BSc. in Computer Engineering and Business Management. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Data Loss Protection and Encryption Specialist, Certified Ethical Hacker and Countermeasures.

Prakash Kowlessar has been employed with Amalgamated Security Services Limited commencing 1st February, 2007 to present. <br><br> Prakash currently holds the position of Group CFO and is responsible for audited financials for companies in Barbados, St. Lucia, Grenada, Antigua and St. Vincent. <br><br> He also has MBA from Heriot Watt University Scotland and BSc in Finance from University of West Indies Trinidad.

She joined the organization in 2008 as the MIS Analyst and rose through the ranks embracing opportunities for professional growth. <br><br> She is responsible for web administration, mass communication, the Amalgamated Voice, document management, data management, the employee incentive program, corporate events and support corporate initiatives. She is the secretary for the Amalgamated Security Police Alliance Committee, and a Member of the Awards Committee, Special Integrity Awards Committee and Crisis Management Committee. <br><br> Risha has fed her insatiable interest in increasing her knowledge with continuing education on all facets of information systems, quality, project management and business management ensuring that she is proficient with cutting edge technologies and innovation. Mr. Victor Anthony Martin is a multi-skilled professional with extensive knowledge in Private Security Operations, Leadership, Training and Development, Diplomatic Security Operations, Special Operations and Logistics. He is currently the holder of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Security Administration and Management from the Cipriani College of Labour and Co-operative Studies. <br><br> He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Board certified by the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), which honors him as distinguished Security Professional with unquestionable passion for excellence in Security Management. He is a graduate of the United States Sergeant Major Academy (USASMA) and a notable member of the Academy’s Hall of Fame. Mr. Martin is also a member of the International Foundation for Protection Officers. <br><br> Mr. Martin has had an illustrious military career which spanned over thirty-two (32) years with the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) and has worked with the military in many other countries across the Caribbean and North America. He retired as Force Sergeant Major in the TTDF and was the Senior Enlisted Advisor (SEA) to the Chief of Defence Staff. Over his career, Mr. Martin has delivered and implemented many training programs. He was the Escort Commander of the TTDF Witness Protection Programme where he escorted high profile State Witnesses to and from High Courts and other areas. <br><br> In 2004, Mr. Martin spent three (3) months in Grenada supporting the country as the Logistics Warrant Officer at the Port of St. Georges Grenada, after the disastrous impact of Hurricane Ivan. He was responsible for the management and distribution of all incoming relief supplies (local and regional) and offered much comfort to citizens during their time of need. Mr. Martin supported the Military Youth Programme of Apprenticeship and Reorientation (MYPART) for over three (3) years where he strategically contributed to the leadership and development of military cadets at TTDF and at the National Energy Skills Centre (NESC) as the Training and Operations Manager. <br><br> He is a father of five (5) children and currently the Training Manager at the Caribbean Institute for Security and Public Safety where he has certified over three thousand (3,000) students. Mr. Martin strongly believes in the development of others and has a passion for seeing others fulfill their dreams. He continues to find ways in which he can share his skills, knowledge and experience and ecstatically enjoys training as it helps him to realize his life’s goals.

Shane Ragbir has been a professional in the Geospatial and Information Technology industry for over a decade. He is currently the President of the Geographic Information Systems Society of Trinidad and Tobago (GISSTT) as well as Chief Geospatial Officer at Amalgamated Security Services Ltd (ASSL). <br><br> Shane's pioneering use of GIS at ASSL and the security industry has been recognized internationally by IDG Magazine in their 2015 Annual CIO 100 Awards for the innovative use of technology in the creation of business value. His work has also been honoured locally by the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Services Industries (TTCSI) in their 2015 Awards for the innovative use of technology in the provision of services. <br><br> Academically, Shane holds a bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering from the University of the West Indies and well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Geoinformatics from the same. He has also been awarded his Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) from the Project Management Institution (PMI) and his GIS Professional Certification (GISP) from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).

Garnet Moe Sales Representative

Garnet Moe

Garnet Moe is a Christian, husband and father. Garnet joined ASSL in 2014 as the Divisional Manager of Canine Manager and was later given the added responsibility of leading both the Canine and South/Central divisions together. He has the distinction of receiving the Chairman’s Award in recognition of outstanding leadership and management practices after 9 months of service in 2014. Garnet held the position of V/Chairman of ASIS local chapter 157 and is currently the Treasurer. He is CPP and CPI certified and also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Security Administration and Management. He is a certified Defensive Driving Instructor and a certified OSHA consultant/trainer. <br><br> Garnet has over three decades of experience in the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force from which he retired in 2009 having attained the rank of Fleet Chief Petty Officer. He received the Superior Discharge Certificate which is the highest level of discharge. During his tenure he held several positions as the Base Chief at several bases and Squadron Fleet he was also the President of the Senior Rates Mess and had the responsibility of overseeing the security detail at the residences of both the President and Prime Minister. <br><br> Garnet was an inaugural member of the Special Naval Unit. He was also an inaugural member of the War Dogs Detachment of the Defence Force where he placed first in a Canine training course sanctioned through the Trinidad and Tobago government which comprised of members of both the Defence Force and Police Service. This training was conducted by both local and foreign instructors. Garnet went on to head the Unit comprising both Coast Guard and Army personnel. He also served on the Welfare Committee of the Coast Guard. <br><br> As President of the Senior Rates Mess, among his responsibilities was to advise the Commanding Officer and to seek the welfare and advancement of its Membership; He functioned as the Force Fleet and had the unique experience of having cross-trained in both arms of the Defence Force. He attended several training courses both local and international and received several medals/awards for performance and proficiency. <br><br> Garnet has a passion for helping people and in this vein, he became a member of the Lions Club; was the Chairman of the Diamond Vale Community Council and was also the President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Retired Persons (TTARP) in Diego Martin. He is certified in Shelter Management and Disaster Preparedness and has participated in several motivational sessions for youth/schools etc. He is an avid sports fan and cricket in the main, for which he is considered by some to be a ‘statistician’.

A motivated and results-focused security and operational risk management specialist with 30+ years in security consulting for multiple clients and security operations management in the financial services and aviation industries, Darrin joined Amalgamated Security in 2018 as a Security Advisor to its Management and Board. <br><br> He has a proven track record in planning and leading the introduction of new security products, including alarms and complex CCTV systems, to address clients’ unique operational requirements. Possesses expertise in managing contracted security services and advocating awareness on fraud and risk management. Team player with outstanding communication and people skills beneficial for organizational success. <br><br> Darrin’s previous working experience included heading security and operational risk management at Caribbean Institute of Forensic Accounting, Executive Bodyguard Services Limited, Republic Bank Limited and DHL Express with responsibility for Caribbean Operations. He is a certified trainer and facilitator of training programs which span a wide spectrum of topics to include; corporate security, anti-fraud awareness and prevention, anti-money laundering, investigative and interview techniques, illicit brands and counterfeits to name a few. <br><br> In the sphere of public safety and community involvement he had dedicated the past 20+ year towards assisting communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago establish and maintain active neighbourhood watch groups and over the same period has been one of the founding Directors of Crime Stoppers Trinidad and Tobago which is well regarded as the country’s premier anonymous tipster program. <br><br> In recognition of his public safety accomplishments, Darrin was nationally awarded The Humming Bird (Gold) in 2019 and in the following year he was named Crime Stoppers International ‘Civilian of the Year’ from among a field of 30 participating countries. <br><br> Darrin currently serves as a member of the Crime and Justice Committee of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry & Commerce and also sits on the Cabinet Appointed Anti-Illicit Task Force.

Curtis Cummings who began his Amalgamated Security Services journey as a Security Officer at its office in Kelly Kenny Street, Woodbrook. There, under the guidance of Mr. Michael Aboud, he learnt many important values and displayed profound morale, discipline and dedication to duty. <br><br> Embracing the core values of the organization i.e. innovation, integrity, duty and respect, Curtis progressed through the ranks from Bodyguard to Corporal then Sergeant to Inspector followed by ASP to Chief Security Officer and presently to Chief Operations Officer at Head Office. <br><br> Having provided the organization with 30 years of service, his extensive knowledge, camaraderie and experience as a security professional undeniably earned him the honorable position he also has today a Member of the Executive and Director of Amalgamated Security Services Limited. <br><br> In his three decades at Amalgamated Security Services Limited, he contributed firsthand to the growth of the organization, making his mark into ASSL's history with significant contributions in the Cash in Transit Unit and Motorpool. He also served during the 1990 Coup. Continuing along his path of succession, Curtis was awarded a scholarship to pursue Tactical Training and Instructor Level Certification delivered by the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA) which he successfully completed and is Certified as a Less Lethal Instructor. Later on in the 3rd decade he pursued and succeeded in the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Certification. Curtis is also a National Safety Council Certified Defensive Driving Instructor with Amalgamated Security.

Ms. Woods is a relatively new member to ASSL, employed for approximately one year with the organization. <br><br> Mr. Woods graduated with Distinction from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, University of the West Indies with an International Masters in Business Administration specializing in Marketing Management. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from the University of the West Indies in Public Sector Management concentrating in Human Resource Management. Mr. Melvin Aberdeen is a career security professional who currently serves as the Chief Investigations Officer at ASSL with responsibility for incident management and risk reduction, a position he has held since 2012. In 1987 he joined the organization at the rank of a Security Officer and quickly progressed holding several supervisory and senior positions including Static Supervisor, Asst. Operations Manager (South), Divisional Manager (South West & Special Operations), and Recruitment Manager. <br><br> Throughout his career, he has been the recipient of several awards including: <li>Best Static Supervisor, Most innovative Divisional Manager and The Chairman’s Golden award. </li> <br><br> His certifications include: <li> Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) <li> Certified Protection Personnel (CPP) from the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS)</li> <li> Certified Range Safety Officer and Certified Instructor from National Rifle Association (NRA)</li> <li> He is the holder of a BA Degree (Hons.) – Business Management from Angelia Ruskin University</li> <li>And is also a Certified polygraph examiner by the American Polygraph Association and has conducted over (200) polygraph examinations.</li> <br> In 2019 Mr. Aberdeen was instrumental in leading the Investigations Department at ASSL in obtaining the prestigious ISO 18788:2015 Certification which speaks to the planning, delivery, and oversight of Risk Management and Investigations.

Dexter Tang Kwok – Chief Investigations Officer - Retired Sgt. at Ministry of National Security Trinidad and Tobago <br><br> Mr. Tang Kwok had 34 years' service in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. He worked his earlier years at the Guard and Emergency Branch .Trained as a Physical Training Instructor by the Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force. He worked on the Prime Minister and President Residence guard detail. <br><br> The last ten years of his service he worked at the Criminal Investigating Department and served in the Anti Kidnapping Unit as Head of Negotiations and was trained both foreign and locally by The Federal Beau of Investigations into kidnapping for ransom and barricade situations. He was also trained by Scotland Yard in interviews and Interrogations.

Kyran Grant Ambulance Manager

Mr. Grant is the Ambulance Manager and leads the Ambulance Division. Zakeya Siddiq Ambulance Coordinator

Zakeya Siddiq

Zakeya Siddiq has been employed with Amalgamated Security since 1997, with the position of Administrative Assistant to the Deputy General Manager. <br><br> She worked in this role for several years and in 2006 moved to the Ambulance Department as the assistant to the Manager. Zakeya embraced this move and new role openly, she saw it as an opportunity to gain insight and knowledge in the medical field. <br><br> Over time, Zakeya moved up to the position of Ambulance Coordinator which involves liaising with customers on a daily basis. In this role, she is able to empathise with the customers delivering that extra care and reassurance which is always needed to those in distress. <br><br> In addition to her administrative qualifications, Zakeya has secured certification as a first responder in the medical field to enable her to better understand the demands of the job.
