When Amalgamated Security Services established its presence in Jamaica, we did so with a long term commitment to this country, its people and the communities and businesses we serve.

Jamaica is not simply another location on the ASSL regional map. ASSL Security Services Jamaica Limited is a Jamaican company, employing Jamaican people, protecting Jamaican businesses and institutions, and contributing to the safety, security and development of the country.

To every member of our Jamaica team, I want you to understand something that is very important to me personally.

Whether you are a security officer standing a post, a member of our operations or control room teams, a supervisor, manager or administrative employee, the work you perform matters. Every day, our customers place their confidence in you, and through your conduct they form their opinion of ASSL.

I therefore expect much from you. Professionalism, integrity, discipline, respect, vigilance and an unwavering commitment to service must remain the standards by which we operate.

But an organization that expects commitment from its people must also be prepared to demonstrate commitment to them.

There will be times when employees face challenges, whether at work or in their personal lives. There may also be occasions when you have a concern, an idea or a matter that you genuinely believe should be heard beyond your immediate working environment.

I want our Jamaica employees to know that they have a voice.

The normal management and Human Resources channels should always remain the first avenue for workplace matters. However, where circumstances warrant it, the Chairman’s Outreach provides an additional means of reaching the leadership of the ASSL Group.

This is about communication, not bureaucracy.

It is about ensuring that as ASSL Jamaica grows, we never become so large that we stop listening to the people responsible for our success.
